Mistress Bathsheba Dolbeare, honorable wife of Philip Dolbeare, cordially invites you to witness the spectacle of the effects of demons on the spirit of a young woman. Housemaid Susannah "Sukey" Gould was rescued from the heathen frontiers of Maine where she was infected with a demon. The charitable and merciful, Mistress Dolbeare, asks you to bear witness and pray for the soul of Susannah. 

In attendance for the safety of both the afflicted and those pious witnesses are Dr. Nathan Ward to attend to any medical urgencies as well as Reverend Richard Hallowell to attend to our spiritual health and protection. 

Also in attendance Master Retire Dolbeare, son to the late Prudence and Philip Dolbeare, heir to the Dolbeare estate. Mistress Deliverance Dolbeare, the eligible daughter to the late Prudence and Philip Dolbeare.

In assistance to the Dolbeare family in Master Philips absence and the affliction of Ms. Gould, Goody Frye will be in attendance to ensure proper order and hospitality will be maintained.

Show runs about 60 mins

There is a strict limit of 25 audience members per show. 

Audiences will be able to follow whichever character they choose and change at any time. But fortune favors the loyal, the more you learn from characters the better the story gets. 

You may be asked to perform tasks for the characters, you will never be forced or coerced but we encourage you to be bold.

This show has light to medium contact but consent will always be verbally requested. We ask the same courtesy of our audience in respect to our actors. 

This show will involve standing and walking for the better part of the hour. There is one set of stairs in the house but it is not necessary for everyone to go to the second floor to get a full experience of this show. All guests should expect to travel indoors and outdoors throughout the show. 

This show will be performed rain or shine unless the weather proves a danger to the audience, cast and property. 

This show takes place in an historic house museum, please do not wear high heels shoes, bring bulky backpacks or bags, or bring food or drinks inside the house.

The Witch House is located at 310 1/2 Essex St. Salem MA 01970

The Jonathan Corwin House in Salem, Massachusetts, USA, known as The Witch House, was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin (1640โ€“1718) and is the only structure still standing in Salem with direct ties to the Salem witch trials of 1692.

The Witch House is located in downtown Salem and has two city lots nearby on Essex St. meters run until 6pm.

The Witch House is a 5 minute walk from Salem Station on the Rockport/Newburyport Line of the MBTA Commuter Rail.

The Witch House is also within walking distance of many wonderful restaurants and shops we encourage you to visit before or after your experience.
